Back to Who Do You Say Jesus Is?

He is God and He Is With Us | Mark 6:45-56

Jesus walking on water was not simply a miracle. It was a declaration of identity rooted in the Old Testament understanding that only God controls the seas. When He spoke to the terrified disciples, His words carried the weight of the divine name revealed to Moses at the burning bush. But His power was not the only thing on display. He also stepped into the boat with them, showing that He is a God who moves toward struggling people rather than past them. The disciples, despite everything they had witnessed, still missed who He was because their hearts had grown hard. That same tendency lives in us. Keeping our hearts soft requires cultivating wonder, staying curious about faith, and taking the steps of obedience we already know we need to take.
